Be Careful What You Measure

Feb 14, 2023

As we set out to achieve our goals, it's natural to want to measure our progress along the way.

We track sales, followers, even our body weight in the pursuit of growth and self-improvement.

But tracking sales and followers doesn’t grow your business or your audience. And monitoring your body weight won’t make you fit.

It's the actions we take that drive change.

To grow your audience, track the number of posts you publish and the comments you leave each week. To improve your fitness, record the steps you take, the exercise sessions you complete, your calories, water intake, and the amount of sleep you get.

It’s helpful to track how you’re progressing towards your goal.

But if you really want to get there, monitor your actions.
